WAYS TO STUDY:
ONE LESSON PER WEEK: $110 per lesson
– 50 minute session
– no commitment needed, but a series of 10 – 30 lessons is recommended if you want to make real changes in your movement patterning and be able carry those changes forward in your life.
TWO LESSONS PER WEEK: $90 per lesson, $180 paid at first lesson

ABOUT PRIVATE LESSONS
Lessons in the Alexander Technique are like re-learning to speak your native language, a language you used to know but have forgotten from lack of use. It’s a language based on who you really are, rather than who you thought you were supposed to be. It is the language of balance, ease, and coordination.We start right away by exploring the specific challenges you are facing. If mobility is an issue for you, we take our time to work out practical, pain-free ways of moving. If you are already very mobile, I work to extend your range of movement and expression. Either way, I help you surpass what you may have thought of as your “limits.” Together, we discover a goal or goals that you want to achieve.
I work with you on simple common movements such as sitting, standing, squatting, walking, turning, lying down, and getting up off the floor. It’s important to explore MORE than just the upright, standing relationship to gravity. Once you understand how to flow through those movements, THEN we go on to face your particular work or skills that you use in your daily life. That process will invariably be unique to each individual – that’s the reason for individual lessons. The theory behind the technique is important, so while we work I translate this information into language that you can understand. Knowing the Alexander Technique concepts can profoundly change the way you think about yourself and your movement, and is key to you being able to get the most out of your lessons and continue reaping the benefits when you finish with your course of study. I am your guide in terms of knowing, for real, that you have achieved what you set out to do with your studies.
Over 10 years ago, I read about Alexander Technique in the press and was intrigued. My main concern was poor posture from working seated, but also some bad emotional habits that were manifesting themselves physically.
